Where to use Spray Plastering

We've already said thin-coat sprayable plaster can be applied onto virtually any background material, be it masonry, lime plaster or even ceramic tiles!  So this means you can use it in virtually any building environment, either as the finished surface to be left undecorated or as the background to take further decoration.

So if you are building new or refurbishing old buildings, why not take a look at what thin-coat sprayed plaster has to offer - it's flexible too, so won't crack on 4mm ply when you bend it (for example), but we doub't you'll ever need your walls to flex that much, but it can if you do.

It has been used in period properties sprayed directly onto lining paper, over countless walls & ceilings of Artex to give a smooth finish, in public toilets to hide crazed tiling, in barrack blocks, up stairwells, in plant rooms, cleaner's cupboards, hotel bedrooms, lesuire centres, the list just goes on.

But it does have certain limitations being a "thin-coat" system, so don't expect it to hide shoddy brickwork in a couple of coats; it just takes a few more to do the job (three or four coats).

Please contact us for more details if you have a certain project in mind & need a bespoke specification.

But just to remind you, thin-coat sprayable plasters can be applied directly (without primers) onto:

  • insitu concrete
  • thin-joint blockwork
  • plasterboard
  • ceramic tiles
  • existing plastered surfaces, including lime plaster
  • Artex
  • brickwork & traditional blockwork
  • even steel & glass if you want!

It is the ONLY plastering material that CAN be applied directly onto surfaces where traditional plasters would need a primer first; it's remarkable how it just sticks to whatever you aim it at, so much so that it has got itself a reputation for being the only material for use in specialist surroundings.

Plus once you've got it where you want it, you can leave it undecorated or paint it with a mist & ONE coat of emulsion, saving a full day's painting time, as a second full coat isn't necessary!

It can be smoothed over or left self-textured or given a bark effect finish.

It dries in times quicker than the thicker traditional plasters; oh & did we mention it comes in WHITE by default?

It also boasts Fire, Acoustic & Thermal properties that exceed traditional plasters, so why aren't you using it yet?
