News update
- Our new workshop facility, which includes a dedicated training area & an area set aside for demonstrating PFT Systems' plastering & rendering machines, is NOW OPEN for bookings. Our in-house Training is for thin-coat spray applied plastering, using materials from either Knauf or Alltek. The training can be done within a single day, although for non-tradesmen a couple of days may be required. An advanced thin-coat spray plastering course will be offered in the future, covering content areas we do not have time for within the Foundation course. We are always pleased to discuss individual requirements & can tailor the training around your needs. Trainees will still need Knauf or Alltek approval, in order to use their sprayed materials commercially & to get material warranties, but this will be more or less a formality following our training & demonstration of their newly acquired skills on a maximum of two sites following the course. Please contact us for more details.
- We have completed the first stage of testing of a new prototype ready-mixed plastering machine for Lion Industries Ltd. Whilst the new compressor is excellent & only needs mounting in a more compact chassis, the spray machine needs some more extensive work done to it, centering around modifications to suit the UK construction market. Whilst we won't be stocking the eventual production model, we will always offer an unbiased opinion on machines to suit our customers requirements, whether we sell them or not.
- We are now able to undertake any machine applied or traditional plastering & rendering work, thanks to our new partners, G5 Machine Plastering. They have worked for us on a number of contracts recently, most notably a MOD base on the South Coast. This contract was completed despite adverse weather conditions, machine spraying Weber Pral-M render onto existing brickwork.
- Knauf''s MP75 one coat projection plaster for use on traditional blockwork is now included within our portfolio. This dry-powder, site mixed plaster can be sprayed on up to 20mm thick in a single coat. It's ability to applied so thickly means it can not only overcome the larger tolerances prevalent with traditional blockwork construction, but lends itself to situations where our thin-coat plasters would struggle to produce a level finish. Its speed of application outweighs the extra cost on larger value schemes.
- We are the new PFT Systems distributor for South Coast, able to demonstrate all their mixing pump plastering, rendering & screeding plant. Demonstrations of the popular G5 can be arranged with short notice, whereas demonstrations of the other machines from their extensive range, can be done with a little more notice at our premises. These plastering & rendering machines can be used to machine apply a varied selection of site mixed plasters & renders, including Knauf's MP75. Airless & worm pump machines are also available for the lighter ready-mixed plasters sprayed commonly on the continent & now becoming more widespread in the UK.
- We would like to say a big thank you to PFT Northern, who hosted our training on the PFT G5 projection plastering machine last summer at their headquarters in Maltby, near Rotherham. We are proud to now be associated with them as their distributor for PFT Systems' plastering & rendering machinery on the South Coast.
- We are investigating launching an interior fit-out division of our company, following recent enquiries for work incorporating multi-disciplined subcontract trades alongside our spray plastering speciality.
- Previously we declined to quote for non spray plastering tenders & other similar contract enquiries. Now though because we want to enter the Interiors market place, we will quote for all such enquiries where humanly & economically possible.
Other News
- PLANT HIRE: We were hoping to offer our spray plastering plant for hire again, but due to spiralling insurance costs, it is no longer financially viable for us to do so. However we have strong ties with other companies who do hire out plant & equipment. Please contact us & we will pass on their details to you.
